About The KPA Group
The KPA Group was founded in 1987 by Hratch Kouyoumdjian SE. as a Structural Engineering Consultancy called HK&A. The practice grew with numerous commissions for notable new structures and retrofits of significant historic structures. The firm continued to grow regionally and internationally with major work in California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Nevada, Idaho, Hawaii, Guam and in Japan, China, Singapore, Philippines, Korea, Iraq, Argentina and Canada.
It soon became very apparent that a real need existed for integrated architectural and structural services offered at a single source. Architectural services were added in 1992 and integrated fully with structural capabilities to form one of a handful of practices that offer equally strong and seamless engineering and architectural services.
